I understand your point but as along the author intends for the main to end up romantically involved it romanticizes the plot by default. Because if you use the events as only a catalyst for their “love” you suggest these events is their “love story”. KS made no attempts at this it’s the readers who imposed this idea onto the plot simply because it had gay elements. Even the author has on record said KS isn’t even really a BL it just has elements of queer sex so it automatically gets grouped into BL by default. Hence why the ending of Ks leaves no room for doubt Sangwoo and Bum are not meant to be together the relationship to one another is purely psychological not romantic or even should suggest that
