Every time a new chapter of a manhwa I really like drops new readers spawn out of nowhere and leave the most mind numbing comments. Each time I try to correct them I get blocked and each time I check their profiles their favourite BL is Jinx. I really hope Jinx comes back soon so they stop infesting other manhwa topic sections because this seems like an epidemic
The only way to enjoy this site is by ignoring comments that you think could ruin your mood. Especially if you really like the story, I mean many readers on this site have different thoughts, sometimes some respond very politely and kindly, and sometimes many respond very rudely. And with that many readers, it's impossible to correct them one by one, so it's better for you to enjoy reading the stories you like without having to think about other people's comments.

Thank you. My mood isn't ruined. That was just a small rant about something I noticed that happened more than once so I felt like sharing it. It's definitely a pattern and cements in my mind that certain stories attract people with poor reading comprehension skills. That's all. Most of the time people take informative comments really well so I keep replying, especially if it's a story I really like and have thought about extensively it's fun to interact with others even if I find that their takes are poor.
They are probably newgen and/or on the younger side who got into bl after/during covid so they don't really have a good "etiquette" in these kind of spaces. I often see them saying their first bl was Jinx which makes sense and that attracts and makes a certain type of fanbase. So yeah because they use as base and foundation those kind of stories with a bland or non existent plot they are only used to make dumb comments. Not that it's bad or anything, I myself read Jinx and enjoy other bls with little plot and leave dumb comments on them too but I do agree that for webtoons that are more on the complex side is way more fun for everyone reading to leave a well thought comment, especially after a plot heavy chapter that was made to let you make theories about the story. It is a little annoying reading every two comments "I don't understand what's going on when are they fucking" but I guess that's just the stories they're used to... And maybe (for everyone's sake, both theirs and ours) what they should stick to haha
I never used this site during the pandemic, but yeah I've seen so many people mention that it got many new users during that time so that makes sense. The idea that someone's first BL would be Jinx is wild to me. That's such a bad introduction to the genre imo. I enjoy a lot of fun light and smutty BLs too and leave stupid comments but those types of comments really don't fit under the more complex stories and would just make me sound dumb. You can't treat a complex character the same way you treat a one-dimensional one for example. People should def read whatever they want but sometimes it's very clear that a reader isn't mature enough to fully understand something and they just end up frustrating themselves and other readers. Thank you for your reply. Now I understand why most of these users made their accounts around 2019-2021 lmao.
People hating on Minchan are probably too used to doormat bottoms or plots where all the bottom does is get abused. He's too feisty, sassy, and strong for them. His temper is fiery but that makes sense given the life he's led so far. He's funny and practical that BJ comment cracked me up. Bihwan is so sweet and lovable he's a big-hearted softie. I love his loyalty and how despite his strength he's still vulnerable. They're both flawed and that's exactly what makes them endearing to me. People are too used to taking sides for no reason. It's always about who wronged whom, who was mean to whom, who they can defend from the other, they can't comprehend that despite the bickering and squabbling these two complement each other so well. It's rare for me to equally like two BL MCs this much (individually and together), usually one of them has more depth than the other or they're straight up victim and abuser. You can always tell what these types of commenters usually read just from the way they love reducing every dynamic to victim and villain.

Oh hii didn't know you read this too. It's funny too because the people I've seen hate on him have been Jinx and LTiT fans. Imagine loving the ML from Jinx and thinking he's too good to grovel but hating on Minchan for being a sexy no-nonsense kinda guy.
No valid reason for the hate either. It's because he was "mean." He was literally in the middle of having a mental breakdown over the loss of his friend when this fetus situation happened. How can he not be impatient and have a short fuse when he couldn't even catch a break to grieve.
