Pretty nice! I liked how the mangaka was able to expand on Satoru's character from the previous story (Akihabara Fall in Love) by giving extra details to him and the family, making him a much more interesting character.
For one, because their parents were gone, Satoru and Ayumu became close, which kind of justifies why he did the weird pose thing? (although it was still creepy ngl)
But also, I like that he has issues that linger on his psyche--seeing Ayumu and Hasegawa get together challenges his perspective on love, and how in his *own* life, having never felt that attachment, he feels a rift that he can't cross. It makes me genuinely feel for this character, and makes me understand why he was so *weird* in the first few chapters.
I wish that the whole conflict lingered a little bit longer, but still, I still appreciate the attempt of bringing the narrative in that direction.
Kudos to the mangaka to make the brocon into an actual character.
Hey, I remember reading the novel of this series a really long time ago (which was left unfinished while the author worked on the webtoon) and I'm wondering about the hate towards Khaol in this adaption? Is he really that bad here? I think he was left more ambiguous in the novel, but I'm not 100% sure, as it's been like, two years since I last read it.
I think the novel was around the point where River was recently reborn, so maybe things have changed?
So I binged this in the span of three days and I was seriously drained by the end of it. Even though I have some problems with it, I found it to incredibly beautiful. Close to the end of the series, I was growing increasingly confused in the sea of double-meaning imagery, but I don't think it drew back from the quality of the overall thing.
Loved it, looking for recs that are like this series, or at least some light-hearted series to heal my heart lol
I felt that the whole story gave the feeling of a play, especially when you've read the synopsis beforehand. There's so much build up until the moment, and then you're left with the remnants of the events that happened prior for the rest of it.
Honestly, I feel I could write a whole paper on this lol
yeah, it was certainly a heavy read, but i found it was unique at the same time. i probably won't read it again for a while, because it really was really heavy, but i'm sure i'll back here anyway. and the only reason i managed to keep reading tbh was the fact that i was pushing myself to finish it, i have a tendency to leave works unfinished, and with a story like this, i didn't want to lose momentum.
I binge-read this manga; I did not like it, like, not at all...but I keep thinking about it? Help??
