I find it so hard to get into yuri -- the romantic and emotional appeals for me just aren't there like they are in yaoi, although I do like how Tamen de Gushi is going.
Dumb cliches are the best cliches. They're cliches because they work.

my thoughts exactly. it's hard finding something that is not overly fluffy or dramatic or just plain hentai. and even if you can find the right balance between these, most stories just feel pretty shallow imo. or simply boring. or the art isn't satisfying. plus a lot if not most titles are for guys with a lesbian fetish, which makes it even harder to empathize with. I'm yet to find a good yuri, one day...

just read Soldier, that was bittersweet... and complicated. but I actually liked the art. I'm getting more used to bara I guess. I like this http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/sei_naru_yoru_ni_bara_yaoi/ and thanks for following! "just fuck me up with the gay", you couldn't have said it better... gonna quote you for life

I agree that bara takes some getting used to, but when you see it so often it kinds just becomes "meh". Soldier just felt so life-like to me, even thought it's something I have no way of relating to. Like you said, it was bittersweet.
Haha, thank you! ლ(´ڡ`ლ) yay! I like being quoted.
I'll take a look at that right now.

you're right. after a time, it does get harder to surprise us fujoshi I must say. I felt the same, while reading it I remember when I visited a former nazi concentration camp outside Berlin, and I couldn't really know how to feel... got me puzzled. but I like having this kind of feelings while reading manga, even if not most of the times.
you're welcome! I felt so represented by that sentence ヾ(☆▽☆)

tell me about it... sometimes I worry like... "am I just turning into such a huge perv? this is so unimpressive". and... I must say I'm just too tired of straight romance even if not in anime/manga... to a point I need at least some gay subtext here and there ( ̄∇ ̄")
that must have been some experience! I can't even imagine how it is for people to carry such history behind their backs. and these places have such burden too, you can feel it... it's overwhelming. you'd really like Europe in my opinion, since you like history! but if you ever happen to pass by Brazil, I'd welcome you for sure! I've never been to the US.
I know!! why is it so hard to find these type of stories? it must be the huge fetish behind turning someone straight into gay. and I really don't like this "turning into/becoming" process. it's just so unrealistic. I differ in the aspect I tend to go for happy ending shit ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I'm one of those who think "life is pretty fucked already, so lemme sugarcoat it a bit".
yeah, I know people who might do it too. I think. xD

The "turning into/becoming" stuff is sometimes super hard to swallow (no pun intended) just because it can be so unrealistic. It's like we've forgotten that being gay isn't a novelty, so we can be gay just whenever. And that's sort of sad, I think. And the excessive amount of rape, and no-means-yes in yaoi can be overwhelming.
I do prefer the happy endings, especially the super sweet ones.

you said it all. I guess it can be because of the japanese way of thinking, maybe... I don't know. I wish there was better representation of the lgbtq+ community, be it at yaoi or yuri. and about all the rape and stuff you said... it saddens me a lot. even more because the mangaka and the readers are mostly women, and don't see how deep this runs and how triggering and awful it really is... romanticizing these abusive relationships, I mean. it pisses me off.
yeah, sometimes it is just filled with dumb clichés, but I don't mind. I like it when things work out, the characters can actually speak their minds and feelings and understand each other, and thus becoming partners while overcoming hardships. so heartwarming <3

Holy shit I'm so happy I found this gem. The story, the characters, everything. It feels so real and raw and I don't think I've ever read anything that really moved me so much in my whole life as this has so far. I look forward to the rest of the story and what's to come!
Yeah, totally get you, never waited for any manga as hard as for this, even if its only 16 pages chapter.
