Not the J.Cole No Role Modelz

Does anybody have any suggestions for another BL like this? That is to say, one that features psychopaths; not in the "I'm a crazed murderer" kind of way, just in the "I don't understand human emotion" kind of way?

Now that I've finished, I'm kinda at a loss for words. I feel I had to rate it 5 stars, because the story was so...natural that it kept me enraptured. For me personally, my ratings for BL aren't just dependent on how cute its story or how lustful its smut is, but rather how much it managed to immerse me, and this kept me on the edge of my seat.

I was so prepared - even saddened by the thought - that there would not to be the happy ending I envisioned, yet I was perfectly willing to just go along for the ride. There was kink, romance, angst, and sadness from a story I never would've expected to be so extensive. Honestly, probably one of the best BLs I've read.

It does make me happy that the redhead got to experience some semblance of happiness, cause he genuinely was a good guy. I do kinda wish the side story continued in order to show less rapey vibes, and instead explore the deeper topics of the redhead's need to be loved.

Also, Polo's human form was SEXY ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

My absolute favorite chapters are Ch. 76-81, so much so that I have them bookmarked and often go back to read them.

I LOVE IT!

Many Omegaverse BL follow the general conventions for how the universe works, but what attracts me the most are the dynamics and logistics that the author manages to work in and explain to the audience about *their* specific brand of Omegaverse. This author managed to do this well through the use of a doctor (likability/personality not withstanding -_-) and the thought processes of those affected by heat or rut. I'll try not to gush and do this as a play-by-play.

Ch. 76
Doyun is stubborn, often immature, and definitely has a childish streak. He went through the trouble of tracking his heat cycle with his mother and was even prepared to take his medication until he was provoked by Taehan's suggestion that he go home. He purposefully forgoes his medication to make sure that he was in heat while Taehan was in rut in order to show that he wanted to stay with him and not go home.

Remarking that subtlety and foreshadowing the intensity of a heat without one's alpha is displayed in his dizziness and nausea. His logic leaves him, given he's in heat, where he doesn't see an issue in his getting pregnant as his pheromones unknowingly coax Taehan's rut.

Ch.77

Doyun's heat symptoms start to take over as he realizes that Taehan has locked him out. Again, I recount the subtlety the author inserts to explain the mechanics of heat/rut by Doyun's thoughts explaining how even the drops of cold water meant to cool him off "hurt, or no, it makes [him] itchy"; the sensations are too intense and overwhelming that they cause him even more discomfort.
As he bangs on the door, begging Taehan to open up, he realizes that he's never had to experience the lingering effects of his heat, since he's always had Taehan to solve it. He notices the pheromones that secrete through the door that put him more at ease, and I like to think that the reason Taehan exits the room isn't because of the pleading, but rather because of the pheremones Doyun secretes.
The chilling effects of the art where we seemingly see Taehan exit to hug and comfort his omega, only to pan to his ominous, golden eyes that are devoid of reason with only one thing in mind.

Ch.78
This is where it gets HORNY >~<
As Doyun finally finds release from his negative heat symptoms, he starts love-punching Taehan: Hitting him, then kissing him; hitting him, then kissing him. The pure **eroticism** in how Taehan just grins after his lover finished piecing him tf up is...fucking chef's kiss!
Many times, when the words "my alpha/omega" are used in many works, it just seems corny af. But here, it seems appropriate and even sexy.
Moving on to where Taehan begins knotting Doyun, his first reaction is pain and panic. Yet, as his thoughts play, he juxtaposes the danger of knotting with his lover's obvious desire to conceive a child...

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PANEL: Doyun's sly grin as he proceeds to tell Taehan to knock him tf up!

Ch. 79
Not much to say about this one, except Doyun giving his consent to a Taehan filled with incomprehension due to the mindlessness of his rut. Love that <3

Ch. 80
The comedy of Doyun typing erratically to ask about alphas' ruts to the doctor because Taehan is clapping his cheeks is unmatched. Once again, we get a glimpse into the mechanics of this world's heat system when the doctor explains that healthy alphas may experience a waking process that could last for a month, at worst; Mans is horny.
Doyun has to take care full care of his alpha like a baby, while he does nothing but attempt to get a piece. Doyun's childish streak shows again when he forces Taehan to remember his manners and beg to put it in. (Seeing Taehan cry and plead "Hyung" is **delicious**)
As Taehan comes to, his eyes shift and firstly asks if his omega is okay <3

Ch.81

In a more wholesome note, Doyun explains that he actually didn't mind taking care of his alpha, even more that he wouldn't mind being around him for the rest of his life. He - nonchalantly - mentions to both the doctor and Taehan that he would want to marry.

And this is where I end my post. I genuinely enjoyed this BL, and there are many reasons I rated it as highly as I did. The artist and writer managed to convey their intentions with this manga so very well; so much so that I wrote this whole post. I am so very fond of this BL, and I envy anyone who has just now discovered it, since I know they're in for a treat.

I like smut and big tiddies as much as the next person, but I had to drop it after Ch.20. It's soooo rapey. Every. Single. Issue. It's like this author couldn't conceive of a reason for them to have consensual sex. It kinda ruins the smut for me.

Nope. I knew I was gon be pissed off reading something marked Tragedy, and I did it anyway -_-
Without my emotions getting the best of me: It was well written. I understood the struggles of the father, of the MC, of the oprhan boy, and of the unrequited love interest. I get why the story had to go the way it did. For that reason ONLY, I tried to be impartial with my rating.

With that being said, they both gon rot in hell. The father is insane, and his "son" deserves to be under the jail. You went through the same thing as this lil orphan and then you leave him to be abused because you wanted "daddy's love"; I'm glad you got hit with a bat. What kinda fuckin "mentor" are you? This spiteful fuck couldn't stand seeing a kid genuinely happy, so he left him to not only get the shit beaten out of him, but also to die in a fire. Then had the AUDACITY to think you was gon live in peace with his grieving father who hated you? RELEASE ME!

The only people I actually felt bad for were the unrequited ML and the orphan boy. They deserve a happy ending away from that fauxcest shitshow. I ain't never reading this shit again, chile.

It's a no from me. The story elements are rushed, if not non-existent. The tropes are tired af. I clicked on it, because I was hoping it'd be a no-nonsense, bad-ass omega in charge, but instead we have:
First chapter: rape
Second chapter: "I didn't know he could make expressions like that" You just met this man yesterday -_-
Third chapter: Already nesting for his abuser

Like, for someone who is just getting into omegaverse stories, this is probably amazing. But I could search "omegaverse" and find no less than 20 stories with these exact same story beats...within the first three result pages. Smut's good tho

That was so sweet and wholesome, and I love the lore (≧∀≦)
That being said...I want that demon to fuc-

Let's start off with the obvious: Lil Bro is terrible for hypnotizing and SAing Big Bro. I'm moreso concerned with everyday relationship between the siblings. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way....

Am I the only one who found it hard to root for Big Bro?? The characterization was that he hated Lil Bro for simply existing, then it was added on that he was always copying him, better than him, etc. I get the inferiority complex part, but narratively it wasn't a compelling enough reason for me to sympathize with him when he did nothing but be a dick to Lil Bro...simply for existing.

He's aggresive, abrasive and never takes the opportunity to have an actual conversation with Lil Bro. Mind you, Lil Bro's not helping the situation either with his petty, conniving antics, but the both of them could benefit from a heart-to-heart. Then we get to Ch.27...

IT WAS RIGHT THERE (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ They were primed and ready to hear one another out, and then Big Bro goes and ruins it by being a simp! Yes, I'm aware that doesn't fix the hypnotism plot, but picture this:

The brothers have the heart-to-heart and realize how one another's behavior has affected the other party. They slowly learn to get along with the new understanding that they have of each other.
That way, it opens the path for either A) Lil Bro to confess and Big Bro can have the option to forgive or hate him for his manipulation or B) Big Bro's shattered memories finally come together and he leaves Lil Bro for good to get with Sunbae. (Whatever love interest you're rooting for)

My main point is that we as an audience could've had some closure for their relationship as brothers before the whole hypnotism plot blows up in their face. Instead - because BL - we have to deal with...all that bs in the last chapter.

Like, I know I am invested in a story when I'm rushing through the smut to get back to the plot (and writing entire thinkpieces in the comment section ╥﹏╥)

Frankly, I couldn't gaf about who bottoms; they are both delicious. I've already endured an entire season of narrative edging. Shiiiiii, atp I would even be satisfied with some freaky frottage
