The ml is not that bad, and I have 3 arguments
1. Everything was a contract and all he wanted was a title, but the royal family was a dick and now he was left without a big amount of money and a wife he thought was as superficial as the royal family.
2. Everything is a misunderstanding. The fl though he never gave her attention, or gifts, but that's not the truth. He had an unfortunate childhood and it's hard for him to adapt to the society, and he has anger issues. For him is hard to understand her, so there a lot of misunderstandings
3. Their families are trying to keep them apart so they can use the money the ml puts aside for the fl. His "mother" sand back all the gifts he sent her with a letter to make everything bad between them.
I'm not saying he's perfect, but he's not that bad. Also about the sucide attempts, I don't think he even realised the first time it happened, and the second time she did it on purpose to switch bodies or something. So all they need to do is talk it all out

She became one of Kim Gongja shadow and remember the thing that the tower says that he can upgrade any skills to ex skill,yeah he request to the tower to upgrade the summon shadow thingy but not really op as he just request so the shadow can have their memory intact if Kim Gongja allow it(or something like that).
So this is basically solo leveling now?

What I like more about this is how the protagonist uses his skills’ abilities to solve the floors in unique, smart ways. So it won’t entirely be like solo leveling the protagonist in that one just blitzcrag his fights with shadows.
