I'm confused on what you're saying lol. The deceased Gridwolf daughter would've been the same age as Kitty and she's younger than the twins. So the brothers are just twins and then they would've had a younger sister... if I'm correct on what you were referring to?

So what I am saying is… weren’t the wolf babies one litter. like in the flashback the boys looked newborn too when the mother gave birth on the battlefield. so I took it as they were all born the same time. maybe I saw that wrong or misinterpreted it or something.
Anyhow if I saw right then they all would have been the same age. triplets. so how can kitty be the same age as the daughter if she would have been the same as her brothers

Thanks for that, I definitely forgot about that part. Yea, that does make it a little confusing. My only slightly plausible guess is that maybe Diel was born like a few minutes after the brothers, so even if they are all the same litter, she's technically younger. Think of real dogs and cats. They give birth to litters of like 5 or more babies, or less, but does that make all of the kittens/puppies pentuplets/octuplets, etc? Not really.
I think this story is similar to how real animals have babies. So yea the boys may be referred to as twins... but are they actually? They just look really similar. Who knows though, they could've been triplets but because Diel passed away, they're now just twins and since Diel was born last, she's the "youngest".
For why she says Diel would be close to Kitty's age? No idea. Maybe Kitty really is pretty close to their age, like 1 year younger or something. I don't remember if they told her age in the beginning or whatever so I could be totally off.
This is me only TRYING to justify it.... otherwise yes you are right and it doesn't make sense lolol. This is why authors and artists need to make note of the things they write in the beginning so they don't screw it up later...

Big cats so: lions tigers jaguars leopards and snow leopards are from the same genus “Panthera”
so if there was a black tiger or a black lion it would be a black panther
judging by the spots this Duke has he’s a leopard or a jaguar
if I’m not confusing anything Jaguars have something with the genes so it occurs more often then with the other big cats that there is a black Jaguar
and well yeah in the jungle that looks pretty fucking bad ass that’s why we think of them as black Panthers even though it’s kind of bullshit
but yeah leopards are very cool and so a Jaguars so it would’ve been cool if that would just have been a black leopard or a black jaguar
