I just want to get this off my chest.
I really really like Aoki and Haruta's relationship. Like I can't even begin to explain why they should end up together in this manga. Too bad for Nachi. I know he's been struggling quite a bit in regards to what he feels towards Haruta but let's face it, it'll be hard for them to be together. And what the guy representing morality said was correct, he should also prepare himself for when Haruta ends up getting stolen by some guy (Aoki).
I really really like Aoki. Their interactions man it's just the sweetest. I like how Aoki is so gentle towards him, and he doesn't do something that makes Haruta uncomfortable. Like OMG. This is not saying that Nachi is not a good boyfriend since we didn't really see their interactions when they were still together. Plus Nachi seems to be the devoted (prolly bordering on possessive) kind because he wants to dedicate his political career to Haruta. But Aoki... OMG Aoki... you can see it really in his actions that he is seriously whipped for our MC. T.T He does things that is out of character, maybe for him it was even love at first sight since according to the morality guy, he started coming to the study room every day just to see Haruta.
And OMG.... In volume two, I had a lot of feelings when they were stuck together in a hut because there was a storm and they ended up there because the horses went berserk and Aoki... ughh my harto... He is just so freakin gentle man.. like what is there not to like???? Based on his actions he just wants to be with Haruta in his own way. He loves him in this quiet way that just kicks me hard in the gut. He said in volume one that the reason he gave Haruta the opportunity to attend the ball was that he has reasons. The reason was, he really just wanted to attend the party with Haruta. They didn't interact that much, but I know he really wanted to spend time with him there since he really wanted him to be his partner after all. T.T
Plus that scene when Haruta gifted Aoki with an ink (in exchange for the hanky that he gave to Haruta)... His smile man... like he doesn't even smile at others like that. T.T
Please be together! I don't really care about the other pairings in this story. I'm just in this for their story.

I bought the digital version. No, vol 2 isn’t the final. Im actually waiting for updates for a possible release of a whole volume 3 in one go and/or a per chapter T.T I have a feeling this story will have more volumes because the author seems to go into the direction of fleshing out the pairing and dig deep into the world they built. The love triangle in this story is pretty complicated after all. So far based on vol 2, the complication for our love triangle now “sorta“ begins. For this reason, I am dying to read the next installment. As in. u.u

I’d like to think that it was unrequited on Danzo’s part. And the only time he had an intimate moment with Fumi was when Fumi went to him to ask for the mark.
I think he dug his own grave by being an asshole. Following Ichi’s logic, he prolly was in love with Fumi since before he joined the hut that’s why he could tell them apart. Danzo also said that Fumi always cared for Ichi, and in chapter 3 he said something about a man’s jealousy being ugly. I always wondered what that meant. Could it be because he was jealous of Ichii? I could interpret It in the Chap 6 when he described how attached the twins are to each other. He also said that he was the only one who’s heart was disturbed, validating my earlier statement that it might have been unrequited.
It’s nice to know that at least Fumi’s body wasn’t thrown and was taken good care of and had a proper burial. I can only imagine Danzo taking care of him and being gentle and soft at least once in his life. But of course it’s too late for that because Fumi prolly didn’t wake up after the blow he took from Ichi. Danzo is prolly full of regrets but that didn’t even stop him from being an asshole so he deserves all the pain and suffering he will continue to experience from here on out.
I would like to see Fumi and Danzo’s interaction tho. I hope there can be a spin off so that we can get to know more about Fumi. I actually liked Fumi even tho he doesn’t have many scenes. I can even go as far as saying I liked his character compared to Ichi’s.
Even though some parts in this manga is confusing, the characters were really engaging, even the side characters.

I dont know how to feel about Fumi, if he truly loved Ichi's rapist. Because he did pay witness to Ichi's abuse and pain.
I don’t think he loved Danzo. And I stand by this statement unless the raws themselves will prove otherwise. I can’t stomach Fumi loving Danzo tbh. Danzo doesn’t deserve Fumi. Plus I don’t think Fumi would love anyone as much as he loved Ichi. And this is also a reason why I’m afraid of the revelation in vol 2. But it seems to me that (based on the caps I saw on sensei’s twitter) they were never intimate. They had interactions like Danzo teaching young Fumi how to write and stuff like that and prolly moments that resulted to Danzo falling in love Fumi (he seems to be the sociable one compared to Ichii so he had more civil interactions with Danzo but he prolly just did this because he wanted to protect Ichii on his own way, like trying to be sociable with Danzo)
I hope so too. Those poor children...
I don't doubt Fumi not being intimate with Danzo until that one time, but I really don't want the author to show Danzo in a better light through Fumi. Cuz, the physical and psychological trauma he imposed on both Ichi and Fumi is unforgivable.
I dont usually like the usual take on bdsm because for me it is just violence. But I enjoyed this one. I think it was the expressions that did it for me. I run from mangas with sexual assault as plot device for romance. But I am kinda weak to a perverted guy falling In love with their ukes. I’m in this just for that
