No, they got divorced bc this man is fucked up. He embezzled money from the Lombardy and has an inferiority complex. This man, no, this animal, then meets his lover at a ball (he is divorced now) and is super happy that he gets to make up a story about how he fell in love with her at first sight at the ball. Anyways, Tia’s aunt realizes that she lost her mother’s pendant or something (was really precious to her) and then later sees that animal had stolen it to give it to his lover. Anyways, Bc of some kind of scheme done by Tia, grandpa is able to see the lover with the pendant on and gets angry and puts the animal and his lover to jail

This is the first time we have seen her but it isn't the first time we have heard of her. She is the FL in the novel. The villainess' fiancé is in love with this girl. And so the villainess poisioned her. It was shortly after that that the the villainess got sick or something and our main character took possession of her body.
Now it is kinda looking like something more than that happend?? That the villainess may have had other reasons for the poisoning. Or that perhaps the FL and the villainess may have been friends? So perhaps the ex fiancé fell in love with his fiancée's best friend? Maybe the Fl wanted to die since she couldn't practice martial arts or something? I don't know but for a girl that has been poisoned the FL doesn't seem that mad at the villainess.

from what i recall, he thought that she saw him the way he saw himself. He saw himself as a monster in the mirror, and assumed that she’d also see him in that way, so he covered himself. He didn’t know that she and many others saw him as a regular human being in his human form. I think it was in later chapters did he realize that she still loved him and he realized he wasn’t as monstrous as he perceived himself to be
