Idk but like i don't think there was any special relationship between the mc and ml as it was an arranged marriage and the ml didn't really confess shit. I mean it was a marriage solely for political alliances and prestige but we have to understand the character of the female lead. No.1 she was unloved. Having to be unloved your whole life and finally having someone to love you is what made her set her goals on idk. I dont remember the dude's name. I'll just name him guy #2, to be emperor. Because she was finally shown importance and attention for once in her life, she'd dedicate most of her time to that person. No.2 I don't think she really gives a damn about the arranged marriage as again, her goal was to make guy #2 the emperor. Though again, I'd say it's still considered cheating. But again, she was naive, unloved, probably mentally unstable, and used (for political alliances, and by guy #2 to gain the highest position in the kingdom). Though there is no excuse for cheating, I do understand why she turned out that way. She was a victim, and so was the male lead. And they were both pitiful. Ml had his fiancee and secret love cheat on him only to end the story with her dying. I feel like every character had an impact to their own doom, but mostly influenced by the guy #2 and the brown haired girl. if ml confessed to the unloved mc, i feel like things would've been different as the reason why mc didn't like him before was because he was "cold". Lack of communication. And by the time mc was burned out, ml didn't do anything to stop her. Though he gave her the water thingy, it wasn't exactly a concrete solution.
