So recently I've really been into the song Play Date by Melanie Martinez and I really like the kind of storyline it has, and am hoping there may be stories that have similar vibes to the one this song gives me.
General Synopsis (that the song gives me):
So I'd say this story would be one based on a one-sided romance between childhood friends. The one with the unrequited love would try to vocally deny their feelings while knowing on the inside they really do love the other person. Lots of fluff and pure feelings, with a huge sense of longing coming from one of the characters.
It'd be really nice if the feelings ended up mutual and both characters have a happy ending together full of fluff, but I'm also good with stories that really show the pure-hearted feelings of a one-sided crush, even if it doesn't work out in the end. I'd like to feel sad when the character feels sad, and happy when they do.
Story recs can be bl, gl, straight, whichever! As long as it's something y'all find good ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
