Their ending is uh..happy? I can't describe it but they end up together in the end of the main story. Side story 12 is doing, not great

Am i missing something? When did he activate his powers to trigger the constraint? I thought his ability was to view the memories associated with objects?
Edit: ohh ok, reading ch 44 makes way more sense. So this is the first time he traveled into a an object’s memory to view its past, which is why the constraint was triggered
