While understandable, I really don't like how helpless her situation is right now and how she seems so emotional. I mean, yeah, like I said, understandable given the fact that she's facing the man who cut off her head but she's all over the place it's making me stressed out, man. I thought she was a commander? Doesn't she know how to control her emotions?? Even just a little bit?? She's such a mess and I get it but can we just skip to the part where she gets a hold of herself and actually learn how to act like a knight again???? How I wish this story would just be about revenge and how she gets back together with her team again and live a simple life somewhere peaceful after she gets her revenge. Romance is just really unnecessary at this point. But nooo the cover maker it seem that Khalid will have a chance lmao no thank you. They'll probably give him a tragic back story and give various examples of his great sacrifices etc etc but who tf cares lol he's a dead guy to me. Won't be reading this again anytime soon. Try to read the novel. The duke is obsessed with her. He already repeatedly said he won't let go of Ripley, that's a clear indication that he's into her(albeit too much imo, but that's why he's called the obsessive duke).
If it's okay for a man to be desperate for someone, being a woman should be too. And Ripley is indeed desperate, because she doesn't want the original couple to become real in front of her eyes, because Etoire was the female lead, which led to her being anxious and nervous.
Etoire was meant to be with Geronis in the original novel she transmigrated into. This whole unnecessary debacle is necessary for Ripley's growth for her to realize and commit herself being the FL instead of Etoire.
And in Geronis POV he did tried to make her all nervous, but not that nervous since Ripley's public proposal is unexpected even to him. I don't think he'll try to kiss Etoire anyway, I mean he's been watching Ripley's reaction lol.
