idk if it's because I've read too many villainess incarnation stories where the heroine is some kind of snake bitch or fake white lotus, but I can't take the mc's innocent act so easily. Like everything is just happening so easily for her.
Lmao reading going back to this part after reading most of the novel makes me think of how much Hugh hated himself for acting this way when making the contract.
I won't give you everything but tl:dr both believe they don't deserve to be happy for the things they did. Kaid was in a really bad spot but chose the best possible choice, sacrificing his happiness. Although he was a spy as Helt, he was still genuine with the Princess and was planning to let her be a nun in his home town even though it would bring doubt on his newly acquired leadership. Kaid and his friend (Isador is his name i think) recognize that she's the princess because she basically gives herself away and I believe because they recognize some of her similar habits. Eventually the servants from her past life know too :) its sweet. Bless Isador getting protective of his buddy.
Shit happens, surprise she's not the only one with memories from her past life and drama commences. Some spoilers out of context? Joblin is a nasty slimy and sly piece of meat and wilfred is obsessive af but probably could have been a good person if he was able to get over his trauma and past.
Current chapter(s) are talking about them getting married
oops i caught up
fuck
we all know the feeling...
