there is a big jump from chapter 4 to chapter 5 in terms of character interaction, development and consistency. where is the process confrontation, acceptation, struggle and liberation suddenly gone? ch5 just threw those out the window and felt rushed af.
in ch4 it felt like yukito realized smth about himself when the driver said "he is a human being", he even told his father "it's okay, i won't do things that make you sad anymore", leading us to believe he has a plan of some sort, which got messed up bc of his father tailing him through gps trackers. then all of the sudden none of that matters, we jump to the driver's past trauma, which was never hinted at nor does it matter in the grand scheme of things, because he overcomes it in a second as soon as yukito embraces him. and then they find out yukito's father died, which doesn't seem to matter, either, bc we jump 3 years into the future where they live together and yukito's whoring himself out to publishing personalities doesn't seem to matter anymore, too.
unless yukito's "plan"(?) was to kill his dad and he succeeded, i don't see how anything in ch5 makes sense in relation to the previous 4 chapters.

at first, i was surprised about THE hontoku participating in this kind of anthology. the service boy series hontoku. the shota preference hontoku. thank god hontoku is using their talent more and more for drawing adults.
then THE ENDING. WAS THAT NECESSARY, HONTOKU??? WAS IT??? I AM SO STRESSED OUT RN
so we have a police officer who can't stomach people relying on him and, you know, doing his job, who helps offenders get away with crime and potentially putting citizens at risks of becoming their victims, and who offers to be the recipient of a pervert's deviant fetishes during work hours. what a great use of taxpayers' money this guy is!
your comment was so spot on that I laughed too much.
