I just knew the comments section was going to be a clusterfuck full of judgemental kids who don’t understand how generational trauma and depression works (and count yourself lucky that you don’t understand it - yet - as you’d have to literally live it to get it). Ugh!! Human beings are so fucking cocky and disappointing! (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
Anyway, I hope hyesung can reconnect with his mom and they can both heal from their collective trauma in doing so. His father is evil, narcissistic trash who fucked up the both of them to the extent that it’s affected their mental health and personalities and I hope they never have to see his toxic ass ever again. I know Byul would love her so much... esp. because that’s where he gets his looks from. Im so glad the author addressed this the way they are doing. Bravo (▰˘◡˘▰)
Like for reals tho, you have a great point. I’m here on comment section and i’m like first of all haesung deserve that moment alone to collect himself together. And second of all we don’t even know the mother’s side of the story yet.
And people out here jumping on them both of their asses to harass them like that
I totally agree with you
Exactly... Thank you. His dad obviously triggers him massively and after the things he yelled at hyesung last chapter, I’m not surprised he can’t get up just yet. What some people don’t understand is to what extent our lived experiences and environments shape us. Hyesung and his mum experienced intense abuse from his father that ultimately changed them. His mom chose to escape cos he was physically, verbally and psychologically abusing her (which is a valid fight/flight response for anyone in that situation). Why didn’t she take hyesung? Because maybe she was at breaking point, not operating at full mental capacity and was unable to cope and afraid to die. It happens and only the ignorant and privileged tend to judge this behaviour without empathy. Hyesung experienced the same as a child and also ran when he could, spending much of his years homeless, trying to survive alone, desperate to make a safe and secure life for himself anyway he could. It’s why he’s literally the way he is. Thank heavens he found and was accepted by the Parks. Why people are shocked that he’s not the most well adjusted person/parent is perplexing esp. because no one taught him how to become one. He still has unresolved childhood trauma that will subconsciously affect his decisions and actions until he heals.
I am once again asking Ah-juicy to please ruin my life... PLEASE
