So... this might be tmi but wow that's not how being a sub or dom works lmao also the number one thing when you do bdsm is SSC, Safe Sane and Consensual. If it's not consensual then it's not bdsm, it's abuse. It bothers me whenever Yaoi stories try to get it right because I really have never seen them actually get it right. I understand that this is supposed to be an a/o/b type thing but like the problem is that BDSM is actually real like... idk whenever I make a post like this someone always yells at me in the comments but listen unless you're in the BDSM community as well what I'm saying might not be as well understood. There already exists problems of people claiming to practice BDSM as an excuse to abuse someone which stems from one party knowing less about BDSM than the other. (Do your research, thoroughly, if you're actually interested in it, for your own safety and the safety of the people/person you're doing it with.) I feel like a dad lmao but be safe y'all, I don't think I'm going to be able to read this story without it rubbing me the wrong way.

i agree with what you said, but i have two points to make:
in this manga it's simply mentioned how the terms COME from bdsm (since i'm the translator i just also want to mention they actually said 'sm'. i translated it as bdsm because bondage and discipline are present too), but the story isn't actually bdsm. at least not how it is in reality. which brings me to my next point, that yaoi doesn't reflect reality. i think i can count on one hand the realistic stories i've read. and to me that's fine, i'm aware of the cliches in yaoi. lack of consent is sadly one of them

I might be wrong but I have a feeling that the reason he got pissed was because he actually is gay and found it really insulting that this guy just wanted to pretend to be gay for TV. I get it too cuz like yeah lucky you, you can just pretend to be gay at your convenience, reap the benefits, and then duck out to avoid all the discrimination that you would face in the real world. Of course because of what genre of comic this is we already know that he's going to figure out that he actually is gay or bi later on.

Peak queer solidarity, secretary Cha is the best tbh. Also it was really cool to read where she deliberately mentioned that she was queer as a way of signaling to him that he was safe to talk to her about his own queer stuff too. It was very realistic, I've also done this so that people would know that I was someone that was safe to talk to as well.

I want to start off by saying, body swapping stuff I usually hate. I think partly because it's always done for comedy. However this story I actually really enjoyed. The way that was explored and used throughout was facianting. He changed with someone who was previously pushed around, but this guy, because of how he grew up and his circumstances, wasn't the type to let that slide. It was really satisfying to see him not take shit where the other guy had, like he was avenging him. I think also the fact that they kind of hint that the other guy could have lived, if he wanted to live, was also interesting. One wanted to live, so he was given that chance, while the other did not, and decided to let it end. I think it's also interesting the exploration of what makes a person a person. If anyone knows anything about DID or knows someone who has DID, this is especially interesting. Because depending on the alter that fronts, the way the body appears and is used truly makes them look like a different person, because they are a different person. For this reason I found it very plausible that the other guy would recognize his childhood friend despite the body not being the same, because his personality, expressions, and maurisms would still remain. Also I think that having him unable to return to his original body gives the story weight, there's a bittersweetness. He got to live, but he's lost so much. Also the fact that this story is the authors first makes me very excited for there future works. They already showed that they can explore these interesting topics, so I'm looking forward to seeing them go even further in the future.
I have read other stories with a higher rating and a worse plot so with the rating being lower I was expecting it to be a bit bad but gave it a try anyway cuz I like the guidvers and ended up being presently surprised. It's a good read, a few strange decisions by the creator here and there and some questions left unanswered but for it only being 34 chapters it did a pretty good job of telling an interesting story. I want to know more about the world and I see opportunity for a second season of the story if the creator wanted to do so.
