I'm not sure if i got it right but someone pointed out that probably since he was half human half ghost the demon killed the "ghost" part of dohui meaning he's left as fully human now which would explain his skin being normal right now. and as to whatever is going on with the other guy ?? i think he either made some contract with the demon so while dohui is fighting the demon he could be also fighting the soul of the guy? anyways this confused me a little ngl ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
