As I suspected Jiwha saw Nakyum and Seungho having sex and ran away in tears to his group of orgy buddies. The one that is always smiling (I think his name is Min) seems to really get a kick out of the drama and Jiwhas turmoil. But he also escalates it further when he encourages Jiwha to “Just kill him!”. I’m pretty sure they’re talking about Nakyum and the jealousy and anger is directed at him solely by the looks of it because he “seduced” Seungho. Jiwha then follows his friends instructions and goes out into town where there is a specific dancer/performer who he can hire as an assassin and the chapter ends with him introducing himself to the mystery man. This chapter is pretty dialogue heavy and I don’t trust google to be accurate with everything so I’m awaiting more experienced translators. This is just the gist of it. This is getting gud. :3
I am not surprised by his reaction. From the start, he wanted the painter more or less dead. The beating could have killed NK back then ... The more Jihwa will try to get rid of BNK, the more SH will do anything to protect him. But SH is not naive as well. He will be able to realize the identity of the mastermind.
Due to his jealousy, Jihwa is unable to understand the whole situation. He hates BNK for two reasons:
1. BNk is a low-born... how can he have sex with SH, a rich noble
2. He gets aware that SH is under the influence of the painter.
On the other hand, he underestimates SH all the time. He thinks that SH is just someone who can be easily seduced and manipulated. But he is wrong... Furthermore, BNK never seduced SH in the first place, it was actually the opposite. SH is longing for love and recognition from SH.
Just like In Hun, Jihwa is arrogant due to his social status but also due to his love for SH. He thinks, he knows SH the best, while this ex-lover has never seen SH's intelligence. From my point of view, he thinks that SH is just a sex-addict who got abandoned/rejected by his family.
Very good analysis. I absolutely agree. I’m already betting that Seungho knowing that someone was watching them plus the other servants seeing Jiwha storming off in tears on the property of his ex lover that he was previously DRAGGED off of will have set the cogs in motion . Seungho will undoubtedly realize that Jiwha is quite obsessed with him and predict the lengths he is willing to go to. I forgot to mention that it’s the main three previous boyfriends that are all on board with this plan. At least three others that were in the group when the assassination was being discussed announced they’d have no part in it and they could care less who Seungho sleeps with. I’m wondering if any of these other dudes will be used to reveal the plan to Seungho and give him a plan ready to counter the assassin. At least I’m hoping. It would be such a good way to showcase the lords intelligence to have the assassin show up thinking that everyone on the estate is unaware of him just to be cut down within a few minutes of arriving. It would be so epic.
SPOILERS...
Ok so not much happened throughout the majority of this chapter other than it being pretty obvious Seungho is developing romantic attachment to Nakyum as he wouldn’t even reciprocate one of the noble boys coming onto him on a hunting trip. There was also a part with Jihwa, didn’t translate it but it looked as if he was getting sick? Seungho makes it back from the hunting trip to find Nakyum bawling his eyes out over Inhun and painting all their sex scenes together throughout the manwha like he’d asked. He asks Nakyum why he’s crying and of course he says it’s nothing. Seungho grabs his arm and doesn’t let go which of course pisses him off and finally Nakyum yells that he wants to be left alone. Seungho literally slaps him across the face in response (some things never change) but Nakyum doesn’t seem that angry about it. He crushes the painting he made for Inhun in his hands and grabs onto Seungho, telling him he isn’t sick anymore. I think Nakyum has finally let go of his pursuit of Inhun. The last thing his says is roughly, “Please hold me, Master” (I think??). So we’re definitely getting consensual sex next chapter. It’s finally hereee
Tbh i think NK still in love with that teacher so when he tell NK slutting around in chap 40, our baby got hurt deeply and broke down in 41...And NK accepted that he no different than the "dirty picture" ( as the teacher put it) that he painted for SH. My 2 cent is when NK say Please hold me he's already broken and accept that he nó different than a 'prositutute' (again with the teacher phrasing). Either SH can take advantage of that and sleep with him or not. Just my 2 cent. Anyways, thanks for the summary
I just wanna say I find it fucking hilarious we all thought Jihwa being gone meant he was plotting his vengeance on Seungho and Nakyum. Maybe turning other nobles to his cause in bringing his ex lover down once and for all for sleeping with a lowborn. But actually, he’s just been spending his days drinking and bawling his eyes out. Same dude.
SPOILERS
I know a lot of y’all said you weren’t expecting any character growth or changes from Seungho and really neither was I, at least not anytime soon. But the smile he gives Nakyum in chapter 35 is the kindest, most genuine expression he’s ever shown in this entire series. Hell, I don’t think he’s ever been shown to be genuinely happy and content. The only other times he’s smiles are when he’s being smug or amused at someone’s stupidity. That’s a BIG deal. At least I think so. I really want some soft Seungho.
SPOILERS!
We may actually see Nakyum reciprocate advances in chapter 35. At the end of chapter 34 when Seungho realizes Nakyum is awake, he does get all up close and personal but then opens the door and tells Nakyum to “go” to which the painter seems to be hesitating. This combined with Nakyums flashbacks of their sex scene throughout the chapter makes me think the desire in their relationship is close to no longer being one sided.
Ok, I accepted when there were people uncomfortable about the rape in earlier chapters, especially those 20+. But we’re like 5-6 weeks past that and y’all are still using anonymous to spam onto posts that aren’t “holier than thou” about the rape aspect. You’re not even trying to have a conversation, just brag about how high your morals are. YOU KNOW WHAT THIS STORY IS ABOUT. There’s been established violent acts in this manwha from the very first chapter. You can still continue to read this story because it’s clear you enjoy it to still be around, but seriously, stop harassing other people. Very few people here who say they love this manwha love it specifically for the rape as much as you want to believe they do. They love the story and there’s nothing wrong with that. That’s why fiction exists. So you can indulge in drama and violence without it involving actual people.
I don’t know, it’s just like this entire wave of modern people has forgotten why fiction as a genre exists. We know that things that can be portrayed in fiction are bad, but why should that stop authors from writing about them to make a good story? They aren’t affecting actual people. If you can’t separate rape on paper or a screen to rape in the actual world that sounds like a personal problem that you shouldn’t be projecting onto other people who grasp the staggering difference.
That anon is truly annoying, I don't know how we can get rid of them...
One after the other reproach, they've been spamming this comment section since chap.20 or even before now.
Now they are complaining on how they'd wish for the both MC to not end up as pairing... OMG, I think they have some mental issues seriously, for ranting so much.
Like, if you want for the story to end like that, write directly to the author or create your own story, but wishing for it to end dramatically while we're all here for BL... -_- Freaking weird and sadistic!
Sure, we can do that too, totally.
Though one of the nice things with POTN is that after reading the chapters or raws people usually come to discuss and share thoughts, analysis, theories... Till last month it was still okay, though now as you can see...
There are also not so much great and long analysis anymore, in the place we have those endless Anon rants.
One can choose to ignore the problem, I'm not like this.
I’m sorry but the people actually complaining about the break are very funny to me. Most of y’all aren’t even paying the author in any form. You are consuming her content for 100% free. She can take as many damn breaks as she wants to. Y’all ain’t supporting the comic either way. This is not directed to those just wishing her well of course.
couldn’t agree more (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
ok boomer lol
Ummm??what she literally just stated facts you're not paying anything and if you are a artist yourself you know stuff like this takes time plus it's colored
Lmao what u implying
i just didnt like the way it was said (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 i mean yes we all here are reading for free but does that mean we cant be a little upset and noone said anything bad for the author we are all grateful
She literally said it was for the people "complaining about the break" ( ̄へ ̄)
yeah the ones upset Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
haha dude u for real?
Lmao “I don’t like the way it was said”. I buy both the raw and translated chapters but still come here for discussions. I don’t hold it against the people here who probably can’t afford to do so though. My comment was directed towards the entitled people acting as if they are owed more work or even have the right to complain about the hiatus for work that they have not paid a penny in support for. If you aren’t one of those people, move along.
think what you want tbh
yeah whatever you say
To be fair, some people (like myself) do pay for the content on both the english and korean sites (yeah, I'm cooler than you) I think it's fine to complain that your favorite webtoon is taking a long break while still wishing the author well. I think it's shitty too but we just have to wait, dudes ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
If you want to be upset about it go right ahead.
i wouldnt be upset over this ╮( ̄▽ ̄) do not worry
And I don't like the way you said it. OP literally said it wasn't directed at the ppl who wish the author well, so if you wish the author well then don't attack the OP by calling them a boomer. They were only addressing the people who expect constant content without any financial support and rightfully criticizing them. They were being very polite in the face of very ungrateful people. You sound like a spoiled brat tbh.
Also I buy what I can to support the author, so no, not everyone here is reading for free.
To be even more fair, OP specified they were not attacking the people who were wishing the author well or the ones that pay. Also OP buys raws and translated chapters and is therefore just as cool as you.
Honestly I wish I could do the same as you guys but I can only buy chunks here and there. (My apologies to the hardworking author, please rest well)
why are you so pissed lol ......and everyone can be upset for the hiatus its not like they will get permission from you or anyone who are you people to critize people’s feelings tbh you sound like a know it all... i dont care if you read for free or not just do what you want and i wont reply anymore(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 if you are upset with my comment its ok but refrain from insulting because you dont know me ヽ(`Д´)ノ
Just to be straight here...you can insult OP by calling them a boomer for reasonable behavior, insult me as a know it all (fair is fair, ngl), but then you wanna preach that I need to learn to refrain from insults. Cool, nooooooooo hypocrisy there.
how are they a boomer? byeonduck works really hard on this and so many of us are just reading it for free.
they're pissed because many people here are just reading it for free while thinking they're entitled to complain about it :|
i dont remember what i meant, its been months lmao it was just a joke .............. some of us?in this site everyone reads for free. All these hypocrites pretending to be annoyed like they are the author...some people were upset they had to wait but i never saw a comment talking bad about the author....they were just upset for the hiatus like in any other manhwa....if anyone deserves to be annoyed at us is the author but the readers who pay or not have no right to make others feel bad for reading for free.
