Funny things I noted while reading
1. Chloe and Alice really helped two nations by being wives, with Chloe being Damien's weapon against the royal family, and her ideal situation regarding Carter coming true—a marriage of alliance (and love) between a Swanton royal family and Carter's. At this point, since she's still technically a queen, Alice is a sibling of the Swanton royal family, making the marriage with "Eddy" a strong one and good for avoiding a potential war. I'm just worried that Carter is housing the crown prince, I hope it turns out good.
2. When Damien believed Chloe was dead, he could not kill himself knowing he would end up in hell, where Chloe definitely would not have ended up in.
3. In Damien's imagination, the most suitable husband to take his place is Gilles. The silhouette in his imagination, alongside Chloe, is definitely Gilles'. Nobody could ever make me hate Gilles. His love has always been pure and clear. The momentary mistake of seeing Chloe and Damien having intimate relations was nothing, especially compared to the horrible traps and manipulation Damien subjected Chloe and her whole family to. Besides, Gilles is basically Chloe's brother. When she imagines family, he's always present. His existence is important to her. I cried at their reunion, she must have felt comforted seeing her her family member.
