You might have missed a lot of the points and the storyline because 1. of how long this has been going and the manner of updating before most of the time were a bit too long, 2. there are a lot of side stories (which btw are very important in their dynamics and story-building), 3. the storytelling is not linear. It's definitely complete and makes total sense. I'm begging you to reread.

These have worked for decades, these are proven ways to support when you have no money. Danmei works have been hit in publishing internationally because of these.
We both have circumstances and the least we can do is empathize.
