the incest bugs me but the plot so far is interesting and shes actively trying to avoid her crazy love filled brother, ill read for now...shes acting like a counselor for him instead and trying to make him be good
One of them might be adopted. I think that the brother created his sister with his magic thats why they look alike and the brother use dark magic since its his powers, since she was made using dark magic the darkness forest (that said that any one set foot on it will eventually die if they don't have dark magic and if they do that monster will get them otherwise) since she's made of dark magic shes fine on the forest and that she was made 5 Years ago cuz she doesn't have any memory of it (also the girl from the light kingdom said that she have a dark aura heself you know cuz she was made it!, And they look alike cuz its her brothers magic) Its my theory and i will bet every thing i have taht iam right about it.
All things considered it does seem like he treats her more like a young sister or at least he's not looking at her as a full on wife yet. It was extremely normal for woman to get married at a very young age for political reasons or just to start having kids since it was believed younger you are the more likely you survived having a kid. Which isn't fully true, you would be able to recover from simple issues but when your THAT young your body is still underdeveloped and small which would be much harder to carry and birth a baby especially a larger healthy one.
It actually wasn’t all that common for VERY young children to get married in the Middle Ages/medieval times. That’s a misconception because a lot of famous high ranking nobles did in fact marry young children and it’s also true that they would typically wait until they became of age ( teen years around 15-17 if they were a young bride / early twenties for a typical noble bride), but when they did marry young kids like her they were talked about like crazy. Most nibbles would NEVER marry off girls younger than 13 unless 1. They didn’t care for the health of their daughter 2. They were desperate enough to give up their daughter. For the lower social classes, Childs marriages were even more uncommon ( although they still took place like it does today). Point is, realistically, he would have been known as a pervert, creep and kid-lover among nobles and the lower classes alike. Comics like this are so gross, spread misinformation, create a false narrative and shouldn’t be defended in anyway cause it excuses predatory behavior such as grooming, inappropriate age gaps ,as well as childs marriages. She would’ve probably never fallen for him if she hadn’t met him young ( since that’s probably how the story will go). Though, that’s just me ranting while I haven’t read a single page of this story cause I know better
As I’m looking at the clothes worn by the mc’s, it looks like they’re probably closer to the renaissance era, which makes this even grosser because in that time period more women slowly began getting married within their early-mid twenties instead of their mid-late teen years since religion was being de-centered and the exploration of self gained popularity
To be fair I wasn't sure on her age, she looked possibly close to 12-13 on the first chapter but the one where they met she looked 10 yea.
