Did you remember when Claude told Athy to get out? It's kind of the same thing that happened when Athy told Lucas to get put too in the last chapter. Also also, Claude could never do such thing with Jeanette because he doesn't mind her and can't express his emotions with her, just like Athy and Ezekiel, she is uncomfortable with him and Claude doesn't care about Jeanette so they just act polite in front of them
