I mean apparently they could never involve themselves with anyone and grew up very cold, so now they have her they're finally able to feel and get attached. I think their actions are awkward and mostly a result of not doing it all this time. Since I didn't fully understand how that curse works, I can only imagine it also has some magic components to it, maybe idk
