I hate that every a body moves, fight and die just for yo ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍na, she haven't done that much for the country, it's true that she has helped but just a little since she is just a person with limited political power, in all the actions is soo won the one who made the real change and yet everyone worship yona as if she were the Jesus or something. Lately this chapter are kinda boring, I want to see won in action
Yes, I'm also tired of this captured princess and her warriors going to save her but I very much disagree with you that she's completely useless. Because you can list at least 6 occasions when Yona influenced a lot in the final result and not in the bad sense, but that if she had not participated the result would be disastrous. You just have to pay the least attention to understand this.
Can someone explain me what the point on this story, I started to read the manga coz the introduction was ok, a devil king with a dark past, and a father who is the reincarnation of a 25 yrs lady who got mysteriously murdered and there's the story of the princess smothered too, but the only thing the author talks about is the daily life of a baby, so I was eating to see if there was any development on the story bc to tell the truth I keep on reading it because I wanted to know if the step mom and the king were going to end up together or what would happen with the princesses on the harem, specially the with blue hair (so far the most interesting thing), but so far NATHING and it's been more than 100 episodes, like w whats the point of this story really??
i didn't like how the sister was left alone, it wasn't her fault to be born in that fuck up family, and overall the message of this chap was terrible, like obviously you cant have everything in the world but to be able to have the family and your bf by your side is just natural, those are completely different types of love he could of had a proper relationship with the sister, visiting her, being part of her life if he wanted to, but not bc the other guy made him chose one over the other, like screw u, that so messed up

I don't like it, either, but I think it's something this author/artist tends to do - have characters who have personalities, issues and situations where their actions are not always perfect, even if by the end they are the "best" actions for them. What I mean is, it could've been told in a way where he simply gets closure with all of his family/mum traumas and that "completes" his relationship with Mookyul. Instead, the creator decided make it a realistically no-win situation where, in the end, he had to choose a path where he wouldn't be continually destroyed and could move forward, but at the expense of providing the personal love and support the innocent sister deserved. So, I don't like it, but I appreciate that it was an intentionally imperfect conclusion to his family dramas.
The mom was manipulated by a priest to have sex when she was in jr high so @13. She got pregnant with our fox jung and then abandoned him to die of starvation and dehydration...a slow, painful death. He lives and he learns that the priest wanted to start all over with her but with their out of wedlock son out of the picture. They have a girl and Fox spies on her and see she has had no remorse for her son and he is even more traumatized by that realization. Fast forward...Fox reaches out to try to get to know his sister and the mom who apparently hasn't matured mentally past 13 tries to off herself b/c adulting is too hard, I guess, now that her husband died and went to a special place in hell. It is not Fox's responsibility in any way to adopt his sister. Mom just needs to get help for her mental issues and grow tf up. Then she can take care of her kid. Hell Fox turned out awesome and he was raised as an orphan. The lil girl will be okay.
I applaud him for doing so much for them. But I think it's sad that he felt like he was no better than his mom for walking away and choosing his lover as she did. He and mookyuls love didn't hurt anyon like she and that priest hurt their son.
Agree. I think what's hard is the reality that the mum probably won't ever be a suitable caregiver and that having the personal love and care of her brother could help defend against any trauma from her mum's behaviour, but instead he walks away and leaves her to deal with the emotional responsibility alone. But what he does do is actually ensure that she will grow up safely and securely, and she seemed mature enough to recognise this as care and not rejection, so there's hope it'll be enough to get her through. It's just sad for her.
Yeah I understand that much but that's not what I mean at all. It is true that he had absolutely not responsibility with the sister as he was abandoned and had not contact with her at all but the problem lies in the fact that he wanted to be part of the sister life, he wanted that love and fulfilment that a lover cannon give, but the gangster wouldn't understand that, and so he made him choose one over the other, you gotta admit that the message this chap is trying to convey is BS, if you love someone u don't make them choose over 2 things presumes to them, I dont think it was right for the sister to asked him to live with her, but then again she is just a kid, he could've explain the situation and tell her that even thou he couldn't be 24/7 with her, he still could be there for her as a brother/ friend, but no! He cut absolutely all ties with her, even thou it pained him to so. The messed up thing with this story is that it's basically saying that you gotta get rid of anything that important to you be it freedom, family or pride etc, all but the bf, only like that it's gonna be 'true love' and there are many people who actually agree with it!
I think we are supposed to view it more like a love triangle and that is why the choice had to be made...there is another dj where fox jung is exhausted between daily sex and his first job after college. Because the job is important to Fox, Mookyul does his best to hold back and comes up with work -arounds on his own but he didn't do that here. . (I wonder if the sister wasn't so cold to Mookyul... if they had gotten along they all could have had what they wanted?) Love triangle theory aside though, she needs a father more than she needs a brother and even I don't think Jung was capable of giving her that, maybe he cut off all ties b/c he saw that too, a weakness in himself similar to his mom's.
Yeah, I always felt it was showing that Ewon feels himself getting sucked into a life of living for his sister and his mother, of always having to carry them emotionally and put them first - which he's inclined to do because he still craves and values family, AND recognises his sister's needs. The reason he can't have any contact with the sister is that he can't just help a little and blithely skip back to his normal life - if he starts to personally help even a little, he knows he'll be endlessly dragged into all of his mother's drama, weakness and selfishness. He recognises that his healthy relationship is actually with Mookyul and that Mookyul (despite being selfish in a day-to-day way) is the one that is thinking of him and has and will actually provide him with the tangible and emotional things he needs. It seemed that having not even a little contact was completely Ewon's decision based on all of that.
Yes, there's undoubtedly a selfish element of Mookyul not liking to share Ewon (because he's never been a perfect character) or feel that he's not enough for Ewon, but I think it's also that he can see how Ewon lets his family's things take over and subjugate his own life (including Mookyul), which of course he finds unacceptable. I think it's purposely misrepresented as just only Mookyul's selfishness for much of the story, until Ewon himself realises this.
i agree, I think you see all of it accurately.
I can relate to our baby fox, because my own dad is poisonous in the same way his mother is; a relationship that sucks you dry and gives nothing. my slightly older than me brother puts up with him and keeps him in his life, and I hit a point where my own health wasn't worth it. that he wanted to keep that relationship, he can. but for me, it's just no good. and yes, my dad too tried to kill himself to guilt trip up.
Can someone tell me if this is shoujo Shonen yaoi or fantasy? I want to star reading it but don't know if it's yaoi...
There's no romance other than the parents. Look at tags if there no "yaoi, romance, smut, shounen ai" it's not a boys love or yaoi romance. I've read this and all it is, is an op boy who was originally a king in his past life and he remembers it. Yaoi isn't even enemies with this they don't know of each other.
It's not yaoi, theres barely any romance in it apart from the married couples already like their parents and such. It is fantasy tho.
It's fantasy
Oh how I wish it would become a yaoi : ((
Well a shounen ai I don't want that child porno shit I don't care if he's lines on a paper age is a very important number to me hehe
