sorry this story wasnt worth reading. its plotlines stuttered and had weird pacing; swinging wildly through very different moods and emotions and sometimes i just wouldnt know whats going on. the cousin plotline was overdrawn and was so frustrating to read through, esp towards the end.
of course some bits had its merits. i like yoon’s character quite a lot bcs he wasnt just submissive and meek even if he was scared, and stood up for his friends. SOME plotlines and twists were good but overall its downsides outweighs whatever good stuff this manhwa had. i wish it had focused a bit more on the action/gangster side btwn kay and kaminsky and how yoon was swept away in it but oh well.

UGHHHH probably one of my faves frrr we love a good fluffy non toxic story

ik mingyun is getting a lot of flak bcs of how difficult he is to deal with and it might not be the healthiest relationship bcs of his dependence on it, but i think its a piece of brilliant writing. his character is so realistic, so human and even though we call him coward, what makes us think we wouldnt do the same thing?

not even just mingyun but chun sam too. it’s difficult having partner who has suffered past trauma with self-destructive tendencies, and communication would obviously not come easy. both sides of the relationship is so human and i really love the writing for that.

of course it is a far from ideal relationship, but how common is a flawless relationship that doesnt suffer from speedbumps? in any case, the writer did an amazing job portraying a difficult yet loving relationship and i must say ive not read a story that has tackled such issues with such tact and grace in a long time.

ps taeyang is best boy and min gyun does need psychological counseling

i really liked the emotional development from both characters because both of their traumas are incredibly valid and we can clearly understand the reasons behind their actions and we can empathise w them. however i find that the story took quite turn post-warehouse fire and it was a bit unrealistic because we get that both sungho and dohyun are trying to tear away from each other (hospital scene + setting the warehouse on fire) and all of a sudden one (1) confession from sungho was all it took for dohyun to change his mind ??

i get that the whole point of it is that they cant run from each other as much as they want to because of how entangled their lives and emotions already are but it seemed a bit too drastic to go from rape threats and pure obsession to awkward lovers.

i think a more suitable ending would be an acknowledgment that the relationship they have is completely toxic and that both characters are aware and yet participative because all they have is each other yknow? maybe falling in love a little further down the road + therapy because GOD do they both need it

anyways this was a thrilling read from start to finish and amazing art too
