Baekhee is very strong to endure this trauma and still function. The fact that he can even muster the esteem to hope for a better future is a testament to his strength. Continuing to live life in spite of crippling fear of very real danger he’s faced. Having the capacity for kindness and compassion when life has given him little to none is amazing.
Go is actually the weak one. He’s so unstable and greedy that the mere idea his little plaything might actually have a real friend might actually realize that life can be more than survival. That a relationship with another person should be about support and connection and not quid pro quo machination; he’s coming undone at the seams.
