Yes if you want to remember him, because I had to reread it back from the start to get that shock moment when I saw him He only appears like in one chapter at the beginning of the manga that's probably why everyone doesn't remember him if you don't reread.
If you don't wanna reread, just know that at the start of the manga, it showed he liked the MC and went after her when she got demoted to a commoner. He didn't believe in the false accusations against her and said that she should be with him or something and he would sort things out for her. But then the MC rejected him, for obvious reasons being she anticipated her banishment.

Chapter 19 actually gave me heartburn. Like when did he ever fucking trauma dump?? The last time I remember, it was the girl who INSISTED on knowing??? He even said sorry for not explaining properly to her because she ASSUMED it was on the same level as molesting thus he explained properly what happened BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO KNOW! He didn't trauma dump or anything, if anything it was her low exposure to such things that was the problem.
Then she fuckin says that she said many 'unnecessary' things to him, downplaying what she said, and then starts crying because he pushed her away for saying all those things and he even apologised for opening up about his trauma?????

I don't know if it's just me, but I don't really think the pacing is slow. I think it's the updates that make it seem really slow and the chapters feel really short as well #－.－) Unless yall are hoping for that quick romance, I think the pacing is well-balanced.

It's really refreshing to see that the mc actually remembers the ml for once. Normally in these kinds of plots where it shows that the ml has some sort of 'past' or important memory with the mc, usually the mc doesn't remember at all until like 50 chapters later, or maybe when they get together then we find out why the ml was after the mc But here it looks like the mc at least 'remembers' the ml from the past
