I like how they act on their own accord not just because they go with their conscience, I like how they act like they need something because they want it and not "they act like they want it because they need it" (example of it is house, you act like you want it but in reality, you need it, in case of bitchy/villain mc, they will act like they need, for example, a mansion, but they have a house already, still, they will act like they badly need a badass mansion but they just want it).
I actually understand the father... My Dad once said that there are huge difference between having lots of sons and lots of daughters, having lots of sons are just a meh, like yes you love them you treasure them because they're your child but having a daughter is just... different.
My Dad said they think (it's based on his opinion and his friend's opinion) having a daughter is the most precious gift a father could have, having lots of daughters was a lottery (although my Dad said he wants a son because he has three daughters already, lmao), he also said that Dad's wants the best for his daughters, he doesn't want any of his daughters get harmed but he doesn't want them
