I think people are quick to jump on the hate train, and they wonder why there are so many other scenes with her. And the reason for that is because the writer wants to show you that Mia is NOT just a villain. She’s a nice, down to earth, kinda childish girl.

So I get the impression that many ppl think that the ml is an ass. He’s not. He’s a guy with a genuine moral compass and he’s just emotionally vulnerable due tobeing physically and emotionally abused by his mother. And based on how the story is going, Rosemund was prb his only light or some thing. And he has a lot of trust in her without knowing she’s a total bitch. Therefore, during the mc’s first life, the ml prb ordered the execution cuz he believed in Rosemund and he didn’t think that she would ever do something wicked. Well this is just my conjecture plus there’s a lot of evidence to support this. (Honestly, I also see this side of him and I think he's really good, rosebijj is just good at hiding her true skin)

Chapter 26-30 SpOILER::
*The day of the hunting competition*
The mc coincidentally shoots an arrow at the same animal as the ml on the hunting grounds. They have a conversation and the ml suspects someone is watching them. This proves to be true when an arrow is shot at the mc but the ml blocks this attack. A bunch of ppl hired to kill the mc comes out from the trees. They get into a fight with both the mc and ml. The ml defeats most of them and asks the mc whether she is alright. As the mc is responding another arrow is shot towards her, however the ml uses his body to block the arrow and ends up getting shot instead. Suddenly, more assasins come out from the shadows. At this point, both the mc and the injured ml ar surrounded. The mc then decides to quickly get on her horse and escape with the ml. They get to a cliff and is once again cornered. The mc proceeds to question the assasins on who sent them. The assasins thinking that she will die anyway tells her it is Rosemund who sent them. When the assasins decide to finally finish the mc and ml off, the mc decides to jump off the cliff with the unconscious ml into the ocean. The mc manages to swim to shore while carrying the ml. She takes him to a cave and basically takes off his shirt to suck out the poison. She then leaves the cave to find herbs in order to slow down the poison. Luckily, her horse came to find her and the mc was able to get medicine from the bag that is being carried by the horse. The mc goes back to the cave and feeds the medicine to the ml using her mouth. The ml wakes up to find the mc with only her undergarments because she used most of her clothing to bandage the ml’s wound. The mc and ml then decides to quickly head back to the palace because there is probably a huge commotion due the king and queen having gone missing. Before setting off the ml asks the mc what happened. The mc explains everything from jumping of the cliff and carrying him the whole time. The ml offers his coat to the mc because she is in her undergarments however the mc declines and says that he must be kept warm because of his injuries. They keep going back and forth because of mc’s stubbornness. The ml ends upkeeping the coat. They finally set off.
*while they are riding the horse to back to the palace*
MC: “Your Majesty... Before you fell unconscious, I had questioned the assasins about the identity of the person who sent them. They probably thought that I would definitely die so they easily admitted it...Who do you think it is, Your Majesty?”
ML: “I am able to guess who it is more or less. And it is probably the person who you are thinking of. If that is so, do you still wish for my answer?”
“Yes I do. I think it would be best if you can hear it clearly.”
*the ml closes his eye bracing himself for the answer”
“The name of the perpetrator is Rosemund Mary La Phelp. * Sighs* Finally, you have acknowledged the truth.”
A bunch of in between scenes showing the panicking nobles and the Rosemund who finds out that her plan to kill the mc ended up involving the king.

I really think their love for each other wasn't shallow... They both saw each other grew up and their age gap is 7 years (yes), they shared many things and experiences with each other, their love was first formed as knight and lady, from friendship, and naturally became romantic love... Estelle become jealous of her maid when she found out that the maid is dating one of her knights (and she thought it was Emel) and Emel become jealous (twice i think) when he found out that Estelle's closer on her other knights other than him... Not the kind of "im jealous ur mah friend y are u hanging out w him/her are u gonna forget me" something like that... In the first place, it was a love that has many forms... Both of them treat each other as a friend, confidant, sister/brother, etc. but this time, it took another form, the romantic love form.
