I'm really noticing most of the time that freckles are meant to say ugly or just not good with manhwas and why is that?! I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable with antagonists/extras mostly having freckles and the story meaning to say they are not good looking...

Koreans generally aim for flawless skin + (if not genetic) another way to get freckles is by being in the sun for too long
I think people who have freckles in historical manhwas would usually be commoners who work outside like farmers, gardeners, etc so it's an undesirable feature for nobles

I am not sure but this has a whole korean drama adaption and it's completed u can watch it on Dramacool or kissasian the series is cute and funny.
