despite what was happening in the chapters before the one on one were, i sort of already knew it’d end with some sort of ‘happy ending’ for sora and taiyo so i’m really trying to figure out why i sat through the 100+ chapters . . . curiosity is a dangerous thing, my friends.

Literally so cute from beginning to end. Little Michiko’s love consultations were the best part.

Also, if you ever want to feel better about yourself just know that I kept reading Ikematsu as Itadakimasu for some reason . . .

at first i thought the plot of the story was going to be that jeonghan had some sort of devastating illness that he’d only told gyu tae about and had broken up kangwoo to spare him the grief of it or something.

i have a lot of mixed feelings about this story, but ultimately despite the happy endings the characters all got, their previous transgressions just made them really unlikeable. i’ll share some of my thoughts because i have nothing better to do.

kangwoo, unfortunately, is useless throughout the story, i thought we’d see more back and forth between him and jeonghan but really all he does is get broken up with, almost rape jeonghan, and then floats through the story until he gets his ending.

i think jeonghan had a valid reason for breaking up with kangwoo, but then having jeonghan be hung up over him was strange and almost unnecessary given how there’s not even a love triangle: kangwoo and jeonghan don’t talk or have any meaningful interactions after their breakup is cemented, at no point am i sitting there wondering if jeonghan is going to go back to kangwoo or if he’s going to choose gyu tae. if the story had just been about jeonghan being apprehensive about falling for gyu tae so quickly after such a long relationship (he didn’t even think gyu tae felt anything for him at first, he was kind of friendzoning him if anything), letting himself fall for gyu tae, and then working on communicating with the help of gyu tae’s headstrong personality, i think the story would’ve been a lot more enjoyable.

i have to say that liked gyu tae at first when he was just cocky and flirty, but still did things like take jeonghan on dates, be affectionate in public with him, offer him a place to live and so on and so forth! i thought that between that and jeonghan having some time to fully move on from his almost decade long relationship, the story would end. but nope, 60 something chapters later and all i’m left with is gyu tae flipping between being exactly the kind of guy jeonghan needs and being abusive, jeonghan becoming more and more unlikeable, and kangwoo being a pretty useless character.

i just want to know what’s gonna happen to our dear mc next i’m so impatient. also, where is this audio everyone’s talking about?

i feel like every chapter of this damn story is edging me i just want to know everything already but i also like the slow build up between the brief glimpses into the past and how things are getting creepier in different ways
