Maybe it's just me, but it's really hard for me to understand when the uke falls in love with a scumbag seme. If I was being abused, I could never fall in love with my offender. The seme in this manga is especially rude, and I really don't look forward to finishing this manga because I can already predict that the uke will fall in love again and the seme will still be a douche. I don't care who they are, no one deserves that kind of treatment.

Does he have periods? Can he get pregnant? If so, does he develop milk glands? Can he get yeast infections? I HAVE SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS!

Well there was that scene where he caught a glimpse of the woman's sanitary napkins in her purse.
I feel like that scene has to hold some sort of purpose, maybe it's implying something?

intersex do not have both genitals fully developed. Since HE is intersex, that means he can't get pregnant. An intersex with such a developed penis like the one in the manga, wouldn't even have a vagina big enough for penetration... google about intersex genitals and you'll understand what I mean

hermaphrodite (where it means fully male and fully female) is a mythology and it is impossible physiologically. Since the manga is not marked as "supernatural", then it is intersex

Btw it's impossible for humans. There are animals that ARE hermaphrodite organisms by nature

"Hermaphrodite" and intersex are the same thing. Hermaphrodite is an outdated term, and some people actually find it offensive. The correct term is intersex, and about 1 in 2000 people are born intersex. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersex

Oops, I made a mistake. Hermaphrodite is not the same as intersex, which is why intersex people don't really like being called that.

No. The mythological term “hermaphrodite” implies that a person is both fully male and fully female. This is a physiologic impossibility.

The words “hermaphrodite” and “pseudo-hermaphrodite” are stigmatizing and misleading words. Unfortunately, some medical personnel still use them to refer to people with certain intersex conditions, because they still subscribe to an outdated nomenclature that uses gonadal anatomy as the basis of sex classification.

I've never heard of the mythological hermaphrodite, so I can't comment on that. But you are correct about the latter.

Emmm, medical student here. Interesex must be the most, if not all, of the cases in humans, but "hermaphrodites" are possible on theory. In genetic exist a condition know as "chimerism" were the "chimera" is a single organism composed of cells from different zygotes, it could happen that the organism has 46,XX and 46,XY karyotypes... so I'm not trying to correct or anything, just stating a fact. In medicine there are almost none absolutes.

are there any real examples? I was very curious in the past so I read and asked about this. I remember asking a biologist: "IF a human has both genitals fully developed, can reproduce by itself?" and he was so eager saying that it is impossible. I guess it is because of the hormones, but in the end he said: "IF a human had both genitals fully developed, then probably it could reproduce by itself, but I wouldn't want to see the outcome"
If you check how genitals are on early fetus, you will understand. It's something between male and female until 7th week into pregnancy. an intersex practically has undeveloped genitals. Just found a video about that

not meant to be a "know-it-all-bastard" but... intersex always is a SHE or a HE .... so if there is even one example of hermaphrodite please let me know... as a medical student you should know

I understand your curiosity, I was really curious about this topic too, so I learnt a little by myself reading papers and journal articles online and some more asking at my teachers

In fact there are articles about cases reported, not many, but there are. I'll left some links about it at the end, full articles are not for free but you at least can take look at the abstracts.

About they "reproducing by themself" is a whole new story. I think you are right about the hormonal problems they would probably have and the underdevelopment... Anyways, in the case of self-reproduction in a chimera it would be like a pregnancy between siblings (genetically talking) because chimeras has more than one karyotype in a single person.

About they being a "SHE" or a "HE", well, usually in genetic a person is a male if has "Y" in his karyotype, like in Klinefelter syndrome (XXY), they are still "men". In this cases I suppose the dominant karyotype would determine the "sex" of the person.

Anyways, I also believe the sex is irrelevant because once they are older enough they would be able to determine their own gender identity.

yoo this is hella old and all,,
would just like to point out that hermaphrodites are a real thing in the animal world,
for example some marine animals such as flatworms and some species of sea slugs
