I was assuming that sort of thing only happen when the households are of similar ranks? Ml is a Duke and her late husband's rank is way lower (as far as I remember). Plus, she is commoner by blood and a widow. Socially, it would make more sense for her to look like she "seduced her way up like before". And with a child this young, it would make more sense for her to hire tutors instead of asking for help from a Duke she isn't even acquainted with. According to Og novel, the Duke is pretty cold to women so her approach was the safer option.
And if the Duke didn't like her, he or his mother could always limit or remove her authority as the (future) Duchess privately. It's even possible to lock her up and treat her badly till she soon dies of 'natural causes' if they are worried about rumours and stuff. (like what happened to a lot of MCs before they went back in time)
