I think parents trust will always be higher than strangers but lower than friends. They raised you from day 1 and it's hard to let go of passed mistakes biases. That's why you have parent doctors but your parent doesn't trust being a good one

Honestly, she is the best! First, she doesn't push back when her child isn't interested in coupling. He has a title and responsibilities that come with it, but she recognises that her son doesn't want any part of that, and quietly supports him. Then, when he finds someone that he wants by his side, she pivots and supports him. No questions asked, no judgment, she just has his back. That is beyond awesome!
