There's a guy who has been in love with me for 2 years now. We began as friends, both felt attracted and began dating after 3 months of friendship. Now we only dated for 2 months and these 2 months were very hard for me as I wasn't able to revert back his feelings and wasn't comfortable with him being my boyfriend ( he didn't do anything except overwhelming with the amount of love he had for me). I felt that I'm not being a good girlfriend and it was just too much for me to handle, so I broke up with him. Since then I've been his best friend, been there for him in his good and bad times and out bond has grown a lot. It's just that he's still in love with me and want us to be together whereas I've never given him any false hope and made I clear that somehow I don't feel the same.
Now after 2 years there's a new guy I like, what's different is that I have those feelings for him which I didn't have for my best friend. It's just that if I choose him I'll lose my best friend and if I choose my best friend as my partner I'm afraid that the past will repeat and what if I still don't develop those feelings for him.
I'm sorry for such a long message but I'd really like some help/suggestions. ╥﹏╥
