Imo It's definitely worth it, but it's full of drama and a lot of plot, and their relationship is really fcking messy (but so good). i rly dont think theres a tone shift youve only read the two first chapters anyways so uh

i only read in whole the first 2 chapters, but i did read the beginning of the 3rd chapter and thats were the tone shift is at. (for some reason i thought that was in the end of 2nd chapter)
it went from brutal rape to i think im gay all cheery and shit, and i found that very jarring.
