It has been on my mind for awhile now...umm is there a reason to not change Shuli’s dress ?
My guess it's probably easier for the artist to have her wear the same thing I mean realistically and hygienically speaking she probably would have and should not be wearing the same dress all the time.
But from an artist's perspective given all the detail put into her outfit I wouldn't be surprised if it is easier to have her wear the same outfit I mean I have seen other comics do the same thing given the thought and detail put into a different outfit each takes up a lot of time I am sure it is hard to draw a person wearing a different outfit even if it's not done all the time it still can take a lot of hard work.
I have never drawn a complex outfits before ( as I mostly drew t-shirts and pants) but I do know from doing my own drawings creating outfits can take just as much time as the drawing the character.
Anyways I hope my comment was helpful to you. I did find it kind of funny she wears the same outfit all the time but now that I think of it NONE of the characters seem to wear different clothes so I guess that's one of the comical aspects of certain comics or in this case a manhua.
I have a theory different from the other and that is based on the general time period this manga is set in they simply wouldn't have changed clothes as much as modern days, I mean the rich would have, but i am sure Shuli being originally from a poor family and also wanting to appear sincere maybe not be spending family budget on her own closet but reserving new dresses only for special occasions or if one is spoiled. I could be completely wrong but back in those times i doubt it was common to have a huge closet of clothes unless you were extremely rich.
