I mean if I was them I would be mad to. I really don’t understand why light skin Asian/ white people are ALWAYS the center of media. Like they are literally in the Middle East country and yet somehow we still have a blonde blue eyed ML and a light skin East Asian FL. It is so tiring to see authors and artist continue to center characters that match a blank sheet of paper.

The plot is about a white looking middle Easter prince who has fought to stay in his position. His mother looked exactly like him, and his dad looked like his brother, and while he is mixed and rightfully the heir to the chair, people doesn't see him as the right fit to be the next sultan because he is white looking, and they have tried to murder him because of that, hence why he hired the FL.
People, the whole plot is about that!! Why are you both so triggered about that?

Ik what the plot is. It’s the fact that they chose a white looking middle eastern to be the ML. In a middle eastern country. There is no representation AT ALL for any one of darker complexion in shoju and webtoon especially as leads. So when a story takes place in the ME why are authors and artist once again centering a white looking person and cherry picking cultural things to incorporate that frankly just makes the ME look like it’s on,y a war zone. Its white washing plain and simple

No fr like its so annoying. Every time a middle eastern or Egyptian based story is created the characters all have pale skin or just straight up look white. I have NO IDEA why these artist refuse to write brown and black characters into their stories. It’s also annoying to see him being discriminated against because hes half white when in reality ppl with darker skin in the middle east are treated worse than ppl with fairer skin and more eurocentric features.

Stupidest idea ever. Ik everyone keeps saying that the reason why she never reacts to these situations is bc she doesn’t feel like this is really her life and she’s just watching from the outside, but I really think it’s jus a shitty excuse on the authors end. Really Dan-I just falls into the group of female leads that are subservient and submissive. Her biggest character trait is that she’s "kind" and puts other people first. And u can say that the 5 kings don’t want her to do that, but they liked it at the beginning kf the story when she was a pushover (they just don’t like it when she lets other people walk over her which is fair). And Ik we had that arc that Dan should put herself first even when it comes to being friends w/ black haired girl; but we see time and time again her being and overall biting ML who can’t make an actual good decision for the life of her, let’s people walk over her and the only real thing interesting about her is that she traveled dimensions. She was more interesting in middle school where she would actually converse with people LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN, nut now she just acts like there all characters
In the beginning chapters I think she was an accurate description of how women are (they aren’t super nice to everyone and they’re selfish at times) and that was real and it wasn’t per se a bad thing. But as it continued on we just saw her emotional immaturity and her real life SELFISHNESS. Personally I believe she was leading him on a times (but it’s also a very fine line bc they are friends and they do things that friends do, but a lot of her actions can still be misinterpreted as romance-y) and even as a friend she’s pretty shifty to him. It seems like even in the friend capacity she doesn’t really do anything for him.
And I will sa I believe it was INCREDIBLY immature of him to try and bully the coach because he was jealous that she was complimenting him.
And I just want us to think of ALL the male leads that acted like her and were called out for it. Yes they’re friends w/ benefits but she just doesn’t seem to have any real respect for him or his opinions (which was demonstrated when he told her that she lazes around and she got super defensive and lowkey rude on him)
Another thing bc I just read a comment she gave a shutting ass excuse for breaking UPPP with him in a shitty ass way. They were together for a fuckimg year and she just says let’s break up, leaves, then later tells him she broke up w/ him for somebody else and then LATER bashes him to his face (personally I think it was rude because after being broken up abruptly like that it’s kinda normal for him to seek her out and find out WHY). It’s honestly really frustrating to see other women sit here and say "well people break up for petty reasons all the time" just to defend her. Like 1 imagine kf someone broke up with YOU like that? She was terrible about the way she did it. And imagine if she WASN’T the female lead of the story. Y’all would be singing a different tune if she was a side character
yeah i found it off that she just broke up with her boyfriend because she saw her best friends dick and her ex seemed like he really loved her
if she was a side character and her ex was the mc people would be mad in these comments
I thought like that too...But I guess there is really people like that...the manhwa depicted her as a pretty woman...and pretty women do not lack guys..
When pretty girls get used guys flocking to them...they get used to doing rude stuffs, using them...and boys also don't mind that...
Have seen so from my experience...
author just made this character real life like and didn't glorify with protagonist characteristics...
