Idk why's the author bringing the marriage controversy here which was so unnecessary.if she's trynna highlight the marriage and birth issues rising in Korea, she should've done it realistically. Bringing dragons and beasts fiction in the middle of it isn't relatable at all.
I was enjoying it as a soft comedy campus romance and would've liked it more that way.
There's this thing about art that is even if the author isn't aware some aspects of the society around them will reflect in their work be it subjectively or overemphasized (Like how we see dozens of apocalyptic movies about how basically capitalism is goona kill us all and the earth)
Sometimes reality is too much it hurts, is too close to home. We deny it even more. Call it a metaphor or escapism.
To talk about what we see in real life, here is the constant decline in marriage in modern Korea, we add some fantasy aspects to sweeten the deal for the reader.
I can't say if the author is measuring this consciously or not or even if the parts have reached an equilibrium but I not gonna lie I've only started reading because I have a thing for dragons, I wouldn't read neither a plain school romance or something about the marriage decline and consecutively the low birth rate in Korea (because I'm not Korean nor in korea) the animal thing succeeded in grabbing my attention.
HAHAHA she's such a mood!! Communication LESGOO!!
