I feel like he was never truly interested in adeline and maybe was just trynna spark emotions in Charlotte. There was clearly not enough communication between them which spiked up more hatred in him.
Though clearly it was wrong of him to visit another estate just to meet another women, but Charlotte also never expressed her feelings and the conflict due to families war retained

I don't know what to feel about him, like at times he's affectionate, never raises his voice, gives her whatever she wants at the same time never considers her feelings, treats her like some entertainment to fulfil his sexual desires, uses cruel words just to hurt her and show the control he has over her.
And she's so uncontrollably in love with him that i feel so bad for her, she's just too pure and innocent to be treated like this
I'm just waiting for him to grovel hard and regret how he has treated her. Only a character development can cool me down now

She acts smart but tbh she's too stupid. How come she blindly follows people to anywhere they want, visits assassin house with no disguise, gives away her name so easily, and how come she's entirely relying on the reply of the letter to get away from there? What if the dad was involved in her death too?

oof i have one in the comment section at the top you can check out~ i wont write it here to avoid spoiling the OP. the novel has no raws and is fairly unpopular compared to other light novels, and it was published way back 2013. I wonder how it even got a webtoon adaptation
I had forgotten about this while watching the drama i didn't even realise that i read the manhwa but reading this again feels like the manhwa is much better

Yea it's all cute and sweet in the manhwa but irl if i were her I'd just dump both of 'em straight. Can't really say much about the brown guy since she works for his mother but the ml should've at least apologized for leaving her stranded when she had just confessed and was waiting for his reply
I had imagined she'd ignore him and he'd desperately ask for forgiveness when they'll meet but it's the exacy opposite which is frustating me. I get he had his reasons and is willing to let her go but she still deserves an apology.

I was thinking atleast give her an explanation because in the day he disappeared they had a promise with each other to confess with one another. If i were in her shoes i would also feel betrayed if some one just ghost me for many years. I would always ask myself what i did wrong. They still had a relationship back then, be it romantic or friendship.
