How is the mc considered a good police officer?? The amount of times he's talked about the undercover operation - on the phone (which could be bugged), in the bathroom (maybe bugged, someone inside, someone outside the door), to the damn prosecutioner (after being told the dude's sus). It frustrates me to no end.
The author did all that buildup at the start: investigating solo, because no one else will... and then was all, righto you've met the ML, competent (ish) policework is over.
