I can connect with every character. Even the supporting characters are interesting. They have their own charm. They're not perfect, they have done mistakes but that is where they learn and grow. Their background and past tell us how they become what they are now.
I remember when I had this convo with my friends. He was excited for the anime adaptation of Honey Lemon Soda. The teaser looks good, he said. Then I said I like Skip to Loafer more. We both watched the animes but I read both mangas too. I explained that the chracterization, the development of each character here is way better. I'm not belittling HLS, I love the story too but after the two became couple it became boring. But here in StL after they broke up both of them became more interesting. Especially Shima, the author really did a good job in unwrapping his character to us.
