The romance in this story is very forced. In the novel it seemed like the author put the MC and Harin together just for the sake of filling a romance role. Unfortunately, until the point where the MC and Harin are together she is very annoying imo. However, thankfully their relationship doesn't interfere much with the overall story once they become a couple. So I would still recommend you read this story even though you'll have to suffer for a bit lol.
I love this MC so much! He can neither be considered "good" or "evil" but at times he can fit the shoe based on what actions others take towards himself and his people. This is what I believe a true hero looks like. Someone who can realized the dark in the light and light in the dark. Someone who's not blinded by the truths set by the world but search's for it themselves. This can also be said for the Eun Ha-Seol especially in how she's trying to create her own identity not the one of being the "Witch of the White Night," which would tie her down to the beliefs of the Silent Night. Truly wonderfully written characters!
Glad the MC didn't just abandon the Edifice Palace or whatever it's called. Had he done that it would've been dumb. He went through all that effort and trouble to help them even if he was just using them it still would've been a waste to just desert them. Now they are basically at his beck and call.
