My bro really be doing every side quest possible but not a single effort to his own main quest

Starting with a great premise. The old masters is so cute and adorable, with a great touch of emotional aspect. This arc is the most enjoyable part for me. But then he did something unnecessary without any clear purpose. The flow of the story is actually okay. But there's lack of important scene that i think it's skipped bcs the author tend to make it simple but use it in a wrong way. The author is too focused in an unimportant plot and forgetting everything beside it. The MC itself is too dumb. He already had a really cool and strong masters, and even had a great talent for it, but he didnt use it optimally. He's just doing everything he want, poking his nose in everything that comes in his way, underestimate his opponent, didnt even maximize his skill at making medicines for himself or even to sell it. THE GIRLS TOO, ISNT THIS A MANHWA? WHY DID THEY CREATE A USELESS GIRL WITHOUT PURPOSE AND JUST FOR FANSERVING FOR THE WHOLE STORY? IS THIS A STORY ABOUT THE MC MEETING WOMEN OR A STORY ABOUT HIS JOURNEY TO BECOME A SUPREME BEING?? I thought i just found some useless girl stereotype only in manga. It's okay if he found his harem or girl, but can you do it better? Can you do it decently without forgetting the whole plot from the beginning? What about his Origins? What about his master's origin? What about his master's revenges? Where are you going?
