Like, the reason why Emily died in the story was because she was young and sickly since a young age and our current FL isn't like that, hence there's nothing that indicates that she'll die while giving birth. If his wife and child don't die at birth, then he has no reason to go drinking in bars and meeting Adeline there. Another reason the ML was attracted to Adeline was because she looked like his late wife, now even if the FL would die (which most likely won't happen), Adeline wouldn't catch the ML's attention. So there won't be an Adeline that the ML would love like in the book. Just my opinion (づ￣ ³￣)づ

That I don't know. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention when reading, but I don't know that much about Adeline and how they fell in love in the novel (except the main things). Still, if he wouldn't have a reason to go to a place where Adeline is, she won't fall for the ML so no more "accidental" meetings would be needed. (づ￣ ³￣)づ
