Hey, guys the story so far says they are cousins but the uke (Iljo) is an illegitimate child. His father had an affair and he ended up with Iljo. He kept him secret for a long time and the only one from the main family that really met him before Iljo's father became ill was the seme (this happened when they were kids).
This is just my theory and I haven't read the novel but personally, I don't think they're related. The situation is really suspicious as it is since Iljo's origins still have a bunch of unanswered questions. I think maybe Iljo's mom might have lied saying the father was the seme's uncle (maybe so she could get money out of it or she really thought that it was his kid) and that's why despite Iljo taking care of his father he didn't receive any inheritance since he may have found out before he became sick or passed away.

The problem is his attire is so closely pertaining to Islamic dressing for men. Also the word "sheik" or "sheikh" is a Muslim scholar or someone very knowledgeable abt Islam and they usually lead prayers at the mosque. It may be fictional but personally, I find it a little annoying with this lack of proper representation and lack of proper research towards the Muslim community. I'm not to sure since I find it a bit disrespectful that they worship the sun god when Islam strictly states that God is not something we can describe as the sun and is the reason we have everything in this universe. And the fact that he's wearing Islamic attire is just... (I'm not trying to disrespect anyone for believing or viewing god as the sun I'm just trying to say that there needs to be more awareness when you're portraying someone that obviously relates to Islam) it also stems from a lot of orientalism
A lot of Arabs and people from the Middle East are Muslim (not all). It's frustrating to see this stereotype, when Muslims aren't being portrayed as terrorists they are portrayed as these exotic and romanticized stories to feed into someone's fantasies or "aesthetic"
Just cuz you say "it's not related to the real world or events" does not mean it is not offensive.

That scene where he goes "don't let that guy touch you" isn't romantic at all its super toxic. He was drunk and he obviously tried to push him away. Don't blame the person who was sexually harrassed blame the one who sexually harrassed him wtf. And Akira was even worse on both occasions he was mostly drunk and he lowkey manipulated him into "getting to know each other" Minato is most likely scared all that shivering and the slump he went through and his fear of sleeping and seeing that dream. It isn't interest its fear and he doesn't know how to cope so he just assumes its interest.
I hope Ilyan's dad comes to the fashion show and Ilyan exposes him as his father and his whole reputation gets ruined, his daughter finds out he's a cheating jerk, and his wife leaves him and his company fails.
