Finished reading up to the latest update. I now can say that I actually understand the emperor. Not that I don't think that he's a jerk, cause he really is. But I think, the reason why he got fond of someone like rashta is because the empress is always cold. It reminds me of the webtoon Abandoned Empress. Just because the FL is acting cold, she easily get judged and the fake gentle and lovely rival gets so much love. Though both rivals has a story behind them.
And even though I like the ML cause he's so cute, he's just the same conniving man just like the other ML's in other stories. Why there's so few ML's with Hei Xuanyi's attitude?(Don't mind this)
All in all, the emperor is stupid. Rashta is such a fake bitch(even though I pity her because of her past). The ML is also a two faced bastard but still likes him. Just continue to be cute and support the empress. And the empess, just stay as you are
I'm starting to dislike marie's character. She's.. grr more than the villains.
