All I know is that I got a notification back in July 31st that Saezuru tori wa habatakanai had been updated. When I got here, there was no new chapter. I wasn't expecting an update so soon so I assumed it had been some sort of error and decided I was going to reread the manga again. When I finished rereading it a few days later, I learnt from the comments and there had, in fact, been an update, but not by the scanlation group that has been scanlating this manga for years and years. It was something so bad that it was taken down right away and most of the people commenting here did not see it either. Since then, people started making up possible explanations for the prolonged wait (which is not uncommon at all, I have waited much, much longer for chapters of this manga). Some of those theories are kinda mean and inaccurate and now some people are starting to believe and spread them without actual proof.
Ahh I see, that's unpleasant.... It's kinda let down for someone suddenly putting a bad trans when they did work on it. I've been reading from Steve when they're still active on tumblr, I hope they'll update even it's late. I'm gonna wait
