I don’t see Raymond as the bad guy. This man lived his whole life to avenge his family, it’s his purpose in life. He watched his innocent fathers execution and we can’t expect him to forget all that just for Ian. He worked for years to gain connections, picked women for business deals and now the princess is right in front of him. That’s a golden ticket for everything, he can’t get a better opportunity than that. Of course he will grab that chance.
I also don’t think he’s playing with Ian’s feelings. He never gave Ian false hope, and made it clear from the start that he didn’t want feelings involved. He didn’t hide the fact that he had relationships with women too. So he was pretty truthful even if the truth hurts, it’s not like Ian’s tricked into anything.
Plus, despite it being physical, we know Raymond is totally in love with Ian and cares for nobody else. But he doesn’t make vague promises considering the goal he has.
Also Kaya annoys the shit out of me, Ian’s a legendary artist and she’s just pushing the guy around. Appreciate him a bit. Whenever Kaya appears I’m like uhh can this brat shut up? And princess is constantly jumping on Raymond like uwu I tripped uwu I’m so clumsyyy lmao
